Book Report 2023

I love reading. It’s a great way to wind my mind down at the end of the day, feels healthier than scrolling social media when there is down time, and it’s great for personal development! I listen to books, read physical copies and check out Kindle copies from the Dallas Library using the Libby App.

I read 28 books this year and here is the full list with links!

Top Picks:

Tomorrow Tomorrow Tomorrow: Not my typical genre but a friend raved about it. Gave it a shot and LOVED it!

The Perfumist of Paris: This is book three in a series that I adore. The detailed description of the scents in the story line almost makes them feel like another character. It also was the push I needed work with a perfumist to design two scents for my own candles! You can absolutely read them independently of each other though.

In the Garden of Beasts: Historical Fiction of the highest order! Erik Lawson always delivers and this is no exceptions.

Jacqueline in Paris: Fun idea fictionalization of Jacqueline Onasis’ time in Paris.

Geisha, A Life: First hand account of one of the last practicing Geisha’s in Japan. Beyond interesting.

Team of Rivals: Ok so this is a lot of facts and history. I listened to it which helped. BUT its details of American history and the Civil War that I didn’t know.

Counterfeit: Easy Read. Nothing more and nothing less!
